Leslie Hindman, an auction firm in Chicago, is (sadly) selling off books from the Rockford College library, which is in need of funds. On June 14, they will be selling off the ABC book collection of Mrs. Bertha A. Holbrook, who was an 1892 graduate of Rockford College, and an avid collector of alphabet books throughout the 1930s and 1940s. The entire collection is being sold as lot 54 on June 14. They sent me the entire list and it is 41 pages long. None of the books have library markings, though they are signed and dated by the original collector.
